In some of the feedback that I received to my “Newsroom leaders, change or step aside” post, readers noted that surely there must be senior editors who could be role models for the rest of the newspaper industry. I included News & Record Editor John Robinson in my post as one such example. But honestly, I would like to hear from the rest of you as to others who you feel are strong leaders at this time of change and who could be role models for their colleagues.

So, here’s my pitch: Write a comment nominating an editor you think deserves recognition for their leadership. Get your colleagues to write comments supporting your nomination. The individual who nominates the editor that receives the most comments wins a $25 gift card to their favorite coffee chain (if you’re looking for $100 drop by Howard Owen’s blog, I don’t have his deep pockets). And the editor wins a custom certificate perfect for that blank space on his or her wall.
