editor on the verge

A note on the title of this blog “editor on the verge.” I chose it because I believe that journalism is constantly on the verge . . . of something. Whether that is genius or insanity, success or failure, chaos or order depends frankly on where you sit.

Like my industry, I often feel like I am on the verge . . . of something. Whether that is success or failure, employment or unemployment or something else is increasingly up to forces that are beyond my control.
